Welcome to High School Art I

This year we will cover the Elements of Art, Principles of Design, a plethera of media, a ton of artists, a lot of art history and gobs of techniques. I hope you have fun creating @ DSMS!

                  Directions:

1. Read through the power point below.

2. Begin taking pictures out side of class that can be used as examples for each element of art and principle of design.

3. Decide how you want to illustrate your knowledge and application of the elements and principles using photography. Examples are : a slideshow presentation, a movie with photos and physical book or sculpture.

FINALS WEEK- The art final will be your final printmaking project.

No written testing = no studying! :)

4/19 Wednesday- Continue adding details onto head and begin creating neck. Cut out back cardboard piece x2 in class. Tape together for sturdiness

4/20 Thursday- Attach head and neck to back

4/21 Friday-Demo Paper Mache- begin paper mache of first layer
